The music thumped and played loudly around the room, Kaylee nodded her head lightly to the music as her lips brushed the rim of her red cup. She blinked slowly, the alcohol definitely starting to take its toll, and boy, did she love this feeling. She had never been a big drinker before, but lately, she had begun to care less about the things her body consumed. It was easier for her to get a hold of certain things due to the fact that her brother was the city’s well-known drug dealer. She knew she wasn’t being herself, but did she care? No. She had lost any sense of responsibility and reality the day her boyfriend died. She lost the one person that she that had made her life complete and she wasn’t ready to deal with that loss, it was way too big of one. The alcohol and drugs helped though, she realized how easy it was to numb the pain. no wonder, people do these things, she thought as she tilted the cup up, taking what was left inside. ”Damn, empty again,” she muttered under her breathe, it was time for a refill, but she didn’t want to move just yet. She had the perfect spot to watch the entire game of beer pong happening right before her eyes, she didn’t want to lose it and the game was actually entertaining. Seeing drunk boys play against one another, one always more drunk than the other. Kaylee sort of wanted to play too, but she didn’t want to mix beer and vodka, in fear of getting sick later on in the evening.
Kaylee smiled at one of the boys when he looked her way, giving a nod reassuring him that he had the game in the bag. She stepped forward a bit to examine the amount of cups left on each side, the game was close to being over but she was really yearning for another drink. She bit her lip and turned her head towards the kitchen, she needed to taste the bitter taste of the alcohol again. She rolled her eyes at the debate going on in her head and just walked towards the kitchen. She passed through the group of pairs grinding up against one another on the dance floor. She had lost track of Ronnie, the person she originally came here with, but that was expected. Ronnie only agreed to have her tag along, mostly because he knew he’d probably be ending the night by going home with another boy, but Kaylee was okay with that. She’d deal with ride factor later on, drunk Kaylee would figure it out, or maybe she would just walk home? She didn’t exactly care though.
Finally, she was at the entrance to the kitchen, and she made her way in. The kitchen was crowded as well, but that didn’t come to much shock, considering it was where all of the alcohol was. She had to squeeze through a few people, pressing her breasts to the back of some random stranger who didn’t seem to mind. She finally found the bottle of vodka and the fruit punch. She placed her red cup down and poured some vodka, stopping when it was halfway. She examined her cup, looked around and poured more vodka into the cup. She was starting to gain a problem, but she didn’t notice it, or at least she didn’t care to. She placed the bottle down, closed it, and then grabbed the fruit punch to mix with. When she was done, she lifted up the cup and moved it around in a circular motion to mix it. She brought the cup to her lips to taste it and made a bit of a sour taste at the taste of it. ”Yum…” she said to herself, making herself giggle.
